Tutorial Six:  The internet and online communities

In a school environment, you would find children if different conditions. Like Autism, Dyspraxia or ADHD, just to name a few. These children need different leaning environment to gain the most from their education.

I think the sites are available to help education people about the condition, and how they are not alone. Whether it is a son/daughter, mother/father, family member with the condition. The originations are there to help everyone, not matter what the situation.

I think occupational transition is rather a unknown experience for a lot of people at the beginning of finding out about the condition. How are they going to carry on? What are they going to change? What am I going to have to do? etc with a lot of other questions rolling around in their brain. The website are good, because then those who are really to look will, and gain understanding to move forward, if that’s what they want to do. Whether others want to go anywhere near it. But that is up to the individual and how they want to get through, at the time.
