Tutorial Eight:  Assistive technology

A Tactile button can be different sizes, shapes, colour and uses for different reasons. You could have a client who loves buttons because of the way it reacts, for example it might vibrate, change colour, sing a song/play a tune, and that is what engages the client to use/interact with the equipment. So what Dave come and talked to use about assistive technology, he brought a lot of buttons to demonstrate what different client like, work with. The one I found the most impressive was, having a button, whatever you want, but it gets connected into a power multi pin box. Where you then plug in a appliance and you can then operate that appliance via the button. I was so surprised and amazed at the same time.
Example of some assistive technology is seen on Tutorial Five
